Tigges with the starting line advantage and then runs his quickest pass of the weekend for the win. Burnett runs his quickest pass of the weekend in a losing effort. After the run is when all the excitement began for Burnett when the chutes didn't deploy and it appeared like the brakes weren't slowing the car down. He was into the sand and right through it to the wide open field behind the sand trap. He is out of the car and okay. (W) Brian Harvanek (All Time Trucking Camaro) 0.119 5.732 250.04 (L) Jason McKnight (Impala) 0.135 5.848 241.15 Harvanek is out of the gate first and never looked back. It appears McKnight used up an engine as there was a large cloud of smoke as he crossed the finish line. Carter got loose around 200 feet and pedaled it one time. He runs his quickest pass of the weekend in a losing effort. Munroe with a good clean pass, just a tick off his qualifying time. He will have lane over Anderika in the next round. (W) Tony Bartone (Centre Pointe Collision Ford 0.087 5.665 252.95 (L) John Bojec (PAC Racing Springs Monte Carlo) 0.091 5.726 252.4 Bojec was out of the gate first, but Bartone had the difference made up by the time they went by the Christmas tree. Bartone launched with the front wheels in the air and skipped the front tires a couple times down the track. Bartone is just a couple ticks off his qualifying time for the win light. Bojec runs his quickest pass of the weekend in a losing effort. Bartone will have lane choice over Kinsley in the next round. (W) Chris Foster (Foster Racing Monte Carlo) 0.225 5.920 193.43 (L) Lance Van Hauen (Roling Chevy Firebird) -9.999(R) NT-No Show Van Hauen is a no show...Foster launches hard and is on a good pass until it bangs the blower with a quick flash of fire and send the relief panel flying high into the air. Foster will give up lane choice to Harvanek in round two.
